My "cutting" comes from a book called Greenhouse Gardener's Companion by Shane Smith.
'Gardening is a therapeutic activity; it helps make the worries of your life diminish in importance.'
I have seen different versions of sayings much like this one. And have even written about it myself. Gardening can have so many health benefits but the therapeutic aspect is my favorite. When my stress level is high I like to go work in the garden. Be it watering my houseplants or sitting in the greenhouse. I always feel better afterwards.
