Reading through the blog roll again today I found Daphne's blog called Daphne's Dandelion and her post about Harvest Monday. I do a monthly post Harvesting Edible Garden Tour but that is for a month's worth of Harvesting. I think adding this one to my ever growing list of community posts will be nice.
So other than my herbs which for this weekly post I don't think I will count....at least not today...I actually do have something harvesting.
This tomato plant is called Sweet N Neat Red. Small little cherry type tomato's. The plant it is a determinant one so once all these little guys ripen it's done.
So until my bigger tomato plants are ready to start producing and what not this is what I got. My first non herb harvest of 2011. And in NY too. Granted this tomato plant is a small container one that I have inside and I bought with tomatoes already on it. Going to save some seeds and or order some cause I like it. Cute and compact.
Hop on over to Daphne's Dandelion and see who else harvested something today. Come back again on the 21st and post about what all you harvested for the month. I would love to see.
Gardening is a blessing. Teaching others is a responsibility. But to enjoy gardening and teach others is priceless.
Welcome - come enjoy my Garden with me
My Garden although it may be small is my garden. I love working in the garden and showing or telling others about it. While you are here take a look around. There is a lot to see. Take a look at the other blogs I love to read. Leave a comment if you like. But most of all. Enjoy your time here, and come back soon.

Pretty nice tomatoes. I bet they are sweet.
ReplyDeleteTomatoes in NY already! I tried to get an early start and ended up with blight! Looking forward to your monthly harvest posts.
ReplyDeleteOh boy...lucky you to have some fresh little tomatoes right now!!
ReplyDeleteI could use some fresh tomatoes about now. I always find it sad that I get a couple of months of good tomatoes a year and then they are gone.
