Get your heads out of the gutters this is a gardening blog. Oh wait my followers are gardeners so that's what they were thinking right? Right? Either way I am sure you are wondering what in the world is she talking about. Well first let me show you a picture.
My first strawberry plant from seed to actually grow more than 4 leaves. This is a white strawberry plant. Looks healthy right?
This leaf is huge. If you look in the picture above you can see that some leaves seem to open up big and others small. So here is what I am wondering. If these leaves are this big does that mean that the strawberries are going to be big? Does the size of the leaf matter? Does it determine the size of the strawberry?
Here is the same leaf as above with my hand next to it.....to show size. Pretty big if you ask me. Don't get me wrong I love it. I think it is a sign that it is a healthy plant and that I am finally doing something right by way of strawberries but come on now.....can you just see the strawberries this will have....if these leaves are an indication that is.
My hand again showing off some of the other large sized leaves. So can anyone out there help me? Just please don't tell me that big leaves mean I am doing something wrong. Wait maybe you should while the plant is still young....
Gardening is a blessing. Teaching others is a responsibility. But to enjoy gardening and teach others is priceless.
Welcome - come enjoy my Garden with me
