My Daffodil's outside are so close to opening. Spring has finally come to the Irish Garden.
A Honeysuckle vine shows new leaves every where. I love this vine when it's in bloom. Smells so wonderful.
My old Pink Rose bush survived the winter and seems to be doing quite well in spots.
The Weeping Pussy Willow tree is flowering? Not sure what this is called when the fuzzy cotton like parts turn yellow like this but they kinda look like flowers. And the ones at Home Depot were also doing this.
The Forsythia is sprouting new growth all over the place. And in some places like the one in the picture it looks like too much growth.
One of my Peony bushes. Odd to call it a bush when it dies down to nothing every year. But clearly spring is in the air cause this bush is ready to start growing.
The oldest of the lilac trees in the yard. Just look at that bud starting to open up.....and in the background so many more.
Spring has finally begun to truly show in my gardens. It's funny last year I didn't start gardening till May and haven't stop since. I don't remember what certain tree's or other plants looked like when spring was settling in. Gardening ever since I started in May has brought a whole new view of my yard to my eyes. All around me I see signs of spring. I see my Rose of Sharon bushes still bare wondering when I will see signs of growth. Walking to the bus stop in the morning I see the tree's with spring buds on them. I feel so aware of what is going on in the world around me and I love it.

ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely making an appearance at your garden. I've just followed your link from Folia and found your blog. It's lovely to see your garden waking up.
ReplyDeleteOf course in my part of the world, there is no real spring wakening at all. We really only have a stinky hot, wet summer and then a longer slightly cooler and drier summer, lol!
