Today is the official first day of spring. It seems to feel more like summer during the day but well it's spring. Here in the Hudson Valley we still have 34 days before we can safely plant our annuals outside. See just because it is spring that doesn't mean that it won't get below freezing at night. So for another 34 days I have to carefully watch my Peppers and Tomato's that I started inside to keep them healthy until I can plant then outside.
Of course I just realized one other thing. I haven't mapped out where they are going to be planted yet. So not good. See as this is my 3rd year I need to once again rotate where I put my vegetables so that my soil doesn't get depleted of all it's nutrients.
So in celebration of Spring today I plan to do a little weeding in the gardens....the perennial ones that is. What will you do to welcome Spring to your area?
Gardening is a blessing. Teaching others is a responsibility. But to enjoy gardening and teach others is priceless.
Welcome - come enjoy my Garden with me
My Garden although it may be small is my garden. I love working in the garden and showing or telling others about it. While you are here take a look around. There is a lot to see. Take a look at the other blogs I love to read. Leave a comment if you like. But most of all. Enjoy your time here, and come back soon.

GBBD - March 2012
It's Bloom Day again and this month I am so happy because I have something to show off.
Inside the house my Hyacinths were blooming and smelling wonderful. Can't you just smell it? So pretty too.
Even the blue ones decided to come out and play.
A small Daffodil decided to pop up as well.
So delicate yet so pretty.
Although not planted here these guys just love the pot and have once again decided that it was time for them to bloom. The container is outside and these guys just show up out of no where.....crazy violas
A bad picture but the best I could get is my perrywinkle that has decided that it is spring enough outside to start growing and blooming. Not a lot of flowers just a few but still.....in March?
Of course then you have these guys....Crocus. They are the first to bloom in my yard and without fail they have done it again. I just found the leaf part peaking through the leaves 2 days ago and not a bud in sight and yesterday and today check it out suddenly not only are there buds but flowers. They are so pretty.
Well that's all for this months tour I hope you enjoyed it. Sorry for the bad pictures. But if you want to see more Gardens in Bloom this Garden Bloggers Bloom Day then head over to Carols blog May Dreams Gardens and see what else is blooming around the world.
