A small picture I know but here he is 3 years after starting from seed. Branching out and looking good. He is still in NY but thanks to Mom and a bit of luck will be cared for by Mom at her place till we have a place in PA to plant him for good. Then again he may just stay at my Moms.
Gardening is a blessing. Teaching others is a responsibility. But to enjoy gardening and teach others is priceless.
Welcome - come enjoy my Garden with me
My Garden although it may be small is my garden. I love working in the garden and showing or telling others about it. While you are here take a look around. There is a lot to see. Take a look at the other blogs I love to read. Leave a comment if you like. But most of all. Enjoy your time here, and come back soon.

Happy Mothers Day....to me and everyone else
So for Mothers Day I decided that I wanted to be outside working in the garden all day. Did I get that wish? Actually yea I kinda did.
Take a look at what I made
I took a open space in the front yard.
Fenced it in and covered it in fabric,,,added plants
My Irish Gardens sign and mulch
A new garden. Full of 8 different butterfly bushes and 2 Apple Tree's my son started from an apple core.
What do you think? I know I am happy with it...other than the fact that I am now very tired and need more mulch. A great weekend and two gardens to show for it.

Apple seeds and kids
I am sure you have eaten an apple and wondered if you planted the seeds would it grow an apple tree right? Well my 5 year old son also wondered this.
Around the 1st of the year (may have been late December) Aiden guy wanted to save his seeds. So he took it upon himself to place his treasures into a wet paper towel where I placed it in a bag and hung it on the cabinet. A few days ago we noticed that two of them sprouted. So into a container they went.
The next day seed number 1 looked like this....
and seed number 2 like this
Today after just 3 days in the dirt you can begin to see tree number 1 growing it's true leaves.
And Tree number 2 although much smaller also shows signs of true leaves emerging.
Aiden is extremely happy with himself and his 9 year old sister Shannon is unhappy...she has been trying to grow and orange tree from seed and thus far no luck.
